I enjoy ideas. Fascinated by the concept of money and markets. I'm not even retail, I'm the guy selling loose cigarettes on the street in front of the retail.

Sometimes I think that everything that happens, happens as it should. That's not as much consolation to me as it could be today.

Predicting election results from polls is difficult. They use computer models to extrapolate from limited data. It's like predicting the weather but you only adjust your models once every four years. The best way to get data is to go ask people in person, but it's expensive.

Sigh. What drove inflation was $5 trillion of pandemic fiscal stabilization ($3.1 in the previous admin and $1.9 in the present one) with household and corporate supports colliding with supply chain disruptions, amplified by a Fed that jacked its balance sheet to 36% of GDP.

Inflation is where Biden stumbles Not since Ronald Reagan’s first term, when consumer prices rose 21%, has a president presided over such high inflation

The effect on the economy of types of government spending can differ. It may be misleading to look at it in the aggregate. Cash transfers to poor people have a high multiplier in increasing demand and economic activity. Interest paid on the debt has a low multiplier.

The trend happens in the aggregate, but the turn shows up first in the details.

you gotta be old italian manmaxxing. you gotta go to a bench, sit down & stare at the horizon. you gotta be thankful for every single good thing that has ever happened in your life while sipping on a tiny double espresso. you gotta be smiling at strangers with a gentle nodmaxxing

I think anyone who claims they are an originalist who doesn't think about the Ninth Amendment constantly is a fraud.
