First *legit* Chinese born player drafted, Niagara so bad they hurt his draft stock severely but 4th round is good. Less hype than Cliff Pu but already looking like a better player to make it to NHL. I was worried he's gonna go undrafted like Trevor Wong which I still don't get.
After a scoreless second period, Baiwei Yu talks about her responsibilities in the third period. #GERCHN #WomensWorlds
Not sure why people are suprised, China is clearly the underdog in this game and no miracle today. The only goal left is pretty much don’t get mercy ruled by Australia and Korea. Hope they enjoy the last 2 games. Don't see how they can requalify in 2026 #WorldBaseballClassic
100% Ju Kwon is injured right now, they didn’t want to use him today at all and waited until literally the last minute, when all options are exhausted to bring him in, then…
JU KWON'S FIRST PITCH IS DEPOSITED INTO THE BLEACHERS CZECHS LEAD 7-5
Fully expected a 5 inning mercy rule game but they kept it very close for most of the game. Based on this performance I see a glimpse of hope they can defeat Czech, too bad they only have 13 hours until the next game, and a history of starting WBC strong then just collapse
Wang Xiang, 19 years old, 187 cm, 66 kg. Led Shanghai to win National Youth Tournament last year. Did well in the most recent exhibition game in relief but the only reason he's starting is Japan's line up is lefty heavy. Gonna be a bullpen game whether China like it or not...
Xiang Wang: man of mystery Seriously, all I can find on the guy is that he's a lefty
I root for Zhou but this absolutely should go to Ryo, then Sargeant and Lundgaard. I would even give the fourth nomination to Hadjar or even Malukas…
Our 2022 Rookie of the Year is @alfaromeoorlen F1 driver, @zhouguanyu24 💪 The rookie scored points on his F1 debut, and, despite several unfortunate technical retirements, he helped Alfa Romeo secure P6 in the championship ahead of Aston Martin 👏 #AutosportAwards #Autosport
And there it is, an extremely difficult negotiation done by NHL, NHLPA, IIHF and IOC
NHL and NHLPA announce agreement with IIHF on player participation at the 2022 Winter Olympics: ply.rs/e1495e7b85b
Official announcement is coming up very soon 👀
It’s been a moving target, but all signs point to a decision next week on whether NHL players are going to the 2022 Beijing Olympics or not. Sources I’ve talked to suggest an agreement between NHL, NHLPA, IIHF & Olympic committee is close, just down to some final items.

Congratulations and enjoy the epic win ladies! This is the first ever professional hockey league championship won by a Chinese team
This basically gives out the match up of 2020 NHL China Games, can't believe people hear it first from a mascot
Toronto boy @smithpelly23 is coming to China, the biggest signing by KRS since Wojtek Wolski... yet😏
The Kunlun Red Star has signed a one-year contract with Devante Smith-Pelly. The winger has won the Stanley Cup champion with the Washington Capitals in 2018. #krs #redstarhockey
More Chinese LSCs around the league too hopefully😄
Well, Zdeno Chara trip didn't happen for some reason but they landed a bigger name. Hope Ovi have fun in China
No NHL China Games this year, but @Capitals legend Alex Ovechkin will be in Beijing Aug 4-8 promoting the league. 1,211 points in 1,084 NHL games and counting...
Many of the comments are just pathetic. No China Games this year has nothing to do with the NHL, China Games will be back in 2020. Was really hoping for the potential match up of Devils and Blue Jackets this year tho
China will remain a primary target for the NHL, however word is starting to filter out the NHL won’t be going to China next season.
