This weekend, during the 80th anniversary of Operation Market Garden, we remember the bravery of those who made sacrifices in 1944. In all, 1,485 British and Polish airborne troops were killed or died of wounds and 6,525 more became prisoners of war. Lest we forget.🌺
Thousands of Dutch locals surround the full perimeter of the Airborne Cemetery, commemorating the 80th anniversary of Operation Market Garden. The Dutch have been immense all week. They have turned up in droves at every event. They do this every year. Incredible people. 🇳🇱🇬🇧
