The phenomenal occurrence of sperm meeting egg (fertilization) happens in the fallopian tube. Joined together as one (sperm and egg) it takes it roughly two weeks to travel through the fallopian tube and land on the beautifully prepared sponge (endometrium) inside of the uterus.
