Can highly recommend this piece in today’s Sunday Times if you’re looking for a facile misunderstanding of what a barrister actually does. If Mr Syed had bothered to speak to a barrister, or indulge in the most cursory research, he would have learned at least two things: 🧵

My strongest memory of COVID: I was sat in a respirator. They are horrible to wear. It made my nose stream and I'd gone deaf in one ear from pressure on my temperomandibular joint from the mask straps. I was tired. So, utterly, dog tired. I'd just reviewed a man, in his 50s

Congratulations to all those receiving pupillage offers this weekend - all the hard work finally paid off! And to those who didn't quite make it over the finishing line this year, take every positive from your round of applications and interviews and keep going, it will come....!
