It is worth noting that the logic employed by the #ICC in their warrants today could allow them to prosecute #US personnel for operations in #Afghanistan and elsewhere as well as #UK personnel for operations in #Iraq. #Mosul in particular might meet their standard. I have other…

Good thread regarding the #ICCWarrant announcement

I would like to address the ICC warrants against PM Netanyahu and former MoD Galant, but I can't. The contents are secret, which means we only know what they’re being accused of – not the facts of the accusation. The charges themselves are very severe, though. (1/30)

Great time speaking to the @TheWWImuseum & @WarInstitute symposium on morality & war today! Thank you @doctrinatrix_C2 for including me among an illustrious line up! In talking about #ROEs and #LOAC realize how much I owe to people like @RichemondBarak & @BlankLaurie for…

Listening to a really interesting presentation by the always fantastic Isabel Hull from @EinaudiCenter @Cornell on Law of Armed Conflict (#LOAC) In #WW1! This will be a hard act to follow in a great symposium by @WarInstitute & @TheWWImuseum! Not too late to check it out:…

Really excited to take part in the @TheWWImuseum & @WarInstitute symposium on War & Morality today! I will be joining an all star roster of speakers and discussing the relationship between #ROEs, atrocities, and the likelihood that an enemy will capitulate! Come check it out!…

I have heard @xv40rds brief parts of this and it's got some awesome stuff in it!

Excited to announce that my next book, Siren Songs, will be published and available through @ArmyUPress next month! The work places the many intellectual similarities between the interwar German (1918-41) and US (1973-2003) armies in a far less favorable light than is the norm.

If you're going to have a system that relies on #2factorauthetification you should make sure it sends the code before portal resets and makes you request a new code. Otherwise your users end up in the Kafkaesque hell loop in which I've been stuck for the last two hours!

One of the great parts of my job @us_sams is the the occasional opportunity I get to sit in on in depth classes on particular #Army activities. Yesterday, I spent two hours in a class about Defense Support to Civil Authorities (DSCA) and today it's a deep into #sustainment!…

So far this is what we know: Iran’s missiles can penetrate Israeli air defenses when fired in the 100s, & Israeli aircraft can strike targets across Iran at will. Iran’s air defense is porous, Israel’s is robust but can be overwhelmed. It’s not easy to fight a long distance war.
