Every national security advisor and economist said don’t vote for him. His former cabinet said don’t vote for him. He tried to overthrow the last election. He overturned women’s rights. He’s openly racist. He’s a rapist. He’s a felon. And he’s winning another term. I don’t get it

It’s far more important THAT you lift weights compared to HOW you lift weights. Most folks know that lifting weights is good for them, but fear of injury during exercise is a major barrier to actually doing it. Is this a legitimate fear, and if so, what should we do about it?

The weight room used to be the separator. Now, everyone is using it out of necessity. If you aren’t, your skill level better be off the charts if you have any ambition in athletics. The new separator is nutrition and sleep. Not even half of teens invest in the kitchen.

I’m appalled that the R word is returning again. Listen to disabled people when we tell you that this word is offensive and rude. There’s absolutely no reason to use that word. We’ve made progress with this and it seems like it’s going backwards. Please stop using that word!

😱RISKY LIFTING😱 TLDR: lifting loads that exceed tissue tolerance will cause injury! Changing lifting technique will change the loads that can be lifted! Therefore lifting technique is just another form of load management!

Disabled people may have to cancel things, maybe even last minute, more often than they’re actually able to do something. Please don’t stop asking or including them though… it’s not their fault, and that one time they are able to do something could be the highlight of the year.

❌ How to unsuccessfully get an ADHD person to do something: - Tell them to do it. ✅ How to successfully get an ADHD person to do something: - Do it in front of them, badly.

A few reminders as we head into Thanksgiving: -Don't comment on someone's body, even if it looks different than the last time you saw it. -Don't comment on someone's food choices. Those are inside thoughts. -Don't assign moral value to food. You don't need to "earn" pie.

Relying on a sense of urgency to complete tasks often means that it doesn't feel necessary to start until suddenly it is. Unfortunately, when you pair that with ADHD struggles with time estimation, this can leave us without enough time to actually complete the task at hand (1/3)

Having ADHD is setting reminders so you don’t forget anything but also ignoring your reminders because you’re too overwhelmed with the list of things you need to do

One of the most deeply held beliefs in musculoskeletal medicine is that osteoarthritis is a “wear and tear” condition—that joints crumble under the onslaught of gravity and use and abuse. NOPE. New evidence—and good news!—so NEW POST: PainScience.com/blog/preventin…
