This is the big deal about casting. Never take things personally, because some auditions can have 100s of people competing for the same role. Some days you get cast, and others you don't. It's not a slight against your skills, it's just picking the right person for the part.
I've received some comments and DMs from candidates with a hint of passive-aggression in their tone over not being chosen for a role. Please have mercy. I had to choose one over a hundred for every role, even disregarding double-casting to ensure as much people were in. 😞
