As I provide supportive care to my wife in her struggle with pancreatic cancer, I get many opportunities to observe the HealthCare system in which I once worked. I'd like to share some observations (1/8)

A leadership lesson I’d share w/ my younger self would be to seek after folks who have knowledge and experiences beyond your own. @SpeakersDotCa is an org who’s brought together those very people. Been surreal to be on the website front page this week. speakers.ca

Rest in peace Robin❤️ No one deserves it more.

"She was driven by a constant desire to love life and make the world a better place" -- Obituary of Robin McGee @TCOrobin, well-known patient advocate and author of "The Cancer Olympics." A memorial service will be held July 27 in Wolfville, N.S. whitefamilyfuneralhome.com/obituaries/178… #cancer

So very sad to hear of Robin’s passing. No words are adequate to describe the difference Robin made to many of us individually and indeed for all people living with a cancer diagnosis. Her speaking and writing talents were second to none. Sincere sympathy to Robin’s family 💔

Saddened to hear of the death of Robin McGee, a tireless advocate for people living with #cancer. She wrote a great book, "The Cancer Olympics," and was awarded the @cancersociety's highest honour, the National Medal of Courage. thecancerolympics.com/newsblog/cance… via @TCOrobin

globe2go.pressreader.com/article/281526… A reasoned position on the issue of breast cancer screening.. let's shift our focus to doing what will show more results i.e. focus on those women who are least likely to seek screening and increase the uptake in those groups.

An excellent distinction. Treatment compared to care…

Written by one of the bravest, most determined and eloquent people I know. When TCOrobin leaves this world many will owe her much gratitude. I’m sending hugs and thanks now❤️@TCOrobin #CancerSupport #TheCancerOlympics

I am sad to report that my cancer doctors today told me I have no further treatment options. #TheCancerOlympics blog describes, with an accompanying song, how I feel hearing this. bit.ly/3QrwEdQ

Important work! Body of work will hopefully help communities understand how to identify risk factors leading to intimate partner violence, and hence early intervention to prevent. Thanks @S_Montesanti for sharing #goingupstream #prevention
