17/END Maybe right a wrong. Make something very unfair… fair. Make people a bit happier. Thanks for your time.

Frankly the dinosaurs are everywhere and mostly come from our own profession; a couple of generations of consultants have sold us all out. 🧵
I’m not very good with my exercises. I do need to lose weight. I don’t like it hurting. B*stard foot.
I wanna see, in writing, with a department and individual(s) name, their reasons why this is in effect, and why they think it’s justified, and how they believe their trainees don’t deserve proper supervised training time. I wanna see it. I challenge you, fellow consultants.
After my years, I’d agree with this to a large extent. Obviously not universal. But very commonly. The expectation is then that moi will be doing this when they refer for that completely inappropriate ‘full escalation’
It's why I don't just take it as a given when a consultant says "I'm not getting involved in that." "But you know who will have to get involved? An FY2, at 2am, when they're called by a panicked nurse." It's an area where senior doctors show great, great lack of responsibility.
Am yet to read up on this…. But…. Is this just someone doing a nice trial/study on the ‘Slim Fast’ diet…? *why* do *I* never think of these things….
Really important to dig into the data on this widely reported "soup and shake trial" for type 2 diabetes remission. 7540 referred, 145 completed the year and achieved remission. It's hard to do this diet, even with support. thelancet.com/journals/landi…
That’s the crux of it
Hundreds of us (who were pretty demoralised anyway) feeling that our years of study and tens of thousands pounds worth of debt have all been a bit of a waste of time. We invested all that time and money to get a far worse training programme than if we’d become AAs.
I expect a few things: ⭕️ Every political party condemning racism, particularly Islamophobia ⭕️ Protection for Islamic faith establishments ⭕️ Business stating support of Minority Ethnic people & Muslims & job losses to those who Tweet or DO racist things RT if you agree
Hypocrisy thy name is….
Hi @VictoriaAtkins Good to see your transition from phoney promises to true overt hostility. I hope you’re enjoying your back-bench salary of £91,346, with your severance pay of £18,676, your accommodation claim for £13,250 & “office/staffing costs” of c£10,000. Not too bad.
Responses this this prove public don’t get it. Seem we are here to ‘serve’ as a ‘calling’ and be subservient to any and all whims. And anything to the contrary is ‘lazy, lacks compassion, overpaid, entitled, blah blah. Bullshit. You have zero claim on a persons free time.

The PA role is a dependant role. The scope and ceilings of the role are not set by the role. I have never witnessed a role so imbued with an opportunistic sense of mission to challenge and expand. Given the dependant status, I don’t feel this is appropriate.
The royal tour we need, and deserve
Oh god this seems to me like it’s such a bad idea. Horrendous. And guess who they’ll get to staff these hubs as your ‘single contact point when you’re ill’ for your acute illness (primary or secondary care level) needs…. well have a think…
GPs will have ‘an integrated neighbourhood team’ that will ‘provide intensive support’ for the ‘most complex’ patients and ‘pro-actively’ manage their care. buff.ly/45Ps7s5
