The other thing is, writing is hard. Learning to write is hard. A teacher can be supportive and scaffold, etc., but ultimately there’s not really a way to make writing not-hard. You have to reckon with your own limitations; that’s part of learning to write.

Writing is thinking. This is an absolute verity. Writing is not the transcription of thinking, it is itself a fundamental and unique process of thought. When a good sentence ends, its author knows more than when they began it. AI should be evaluated in this context.
