これはオキサゾールのC-Hアミド化を狙っていた時に発見した”不思議反応”から始まりました。Yip博士が予想もしない副生成物を単離しました。そして、その化合物の新たな活性を鳥居先生@KeikoUTorii、中川先生とHan先生に見つけもらいました。二つの偶然に導かれ、多くの人の協力で形になりました。
