What is not impressive: 1. Pastoring a large church 2. Fandom in ministry 3. Writing a best selling book 4. Preaching on the conference circuit 5. Hosting a popular podcast What is impressive: Finishing well, after decades of faithful ministry, with integrity and character.

True gospel-humility means I stop connecting every experience, every conversation, with myself.

Jesus said the evidence of our spiritual (Many would also say emotional) maturity is this: Love for our enemies. Have you applied that measurement lately?

Christian, remember this: You are neither captain of your destiny nor a captive to circumstance. You are under the care of God.

I've unfortunately heard this multiple times from our older saints in our church.

The elderly members of my church have reminded me the isolation many of us are experiencing for the first time is what they face all the time. May God use this crisis to help pastors and church members be more mindful of them when we return to normal life.
