Guess what? When Shadows Fall is still on sale for a few more days! It also *might* win an award next Friday at the Saskatchewan Book Award ceremony, so there’s that. 😉

The sale may be over, but that doesn’t mean the deals are. My YA fantasy will be 25% off for the rest of #IndieApril, and the paperback is cheaper too! When the sun sets in Merak, a terrifying shadow world appears… books2read.com/u/3GPweP Also available on KU! 😊

For #IndieApril, I plan on buying two indie paperbacks. (If decently priced here in Canada). So, don't just link your novel here, but link the one you are most proud of if you have multiple books. Show me the best you have ever done, in your opinon. #writerslift

Ready to start another rewrite of my 130K MS. Hoping that the third time is a charm 😊

On the inevitability of AI: not all advancement is progress. As consumers, we directly impact what life will be like for future generations. Every time we use AI, we get closer to a future where people don’t strive for artistic expression. Every time you buy disposable 🧵

So much fun!

Okay, I usually don’t like making reels, but this trend made me laugh. 🤣

JRR Tolkien on fantasy as 'escapism:' "Of course it is escapist! That is its glory! When a soldier is a prisoner of war it is his duty to escape-and take as many with him as he can." He added (1/2)

Another way AI hurts talented artists. I am so sad to see this happening.

So, after a few days of working on this I came to the sad conclusion that changing style doesn't help with content. On the bright side, my daughter approved this change.

I hate books in present tense. Why am I rewriting my WIP in present tense? I am worried about the state of my mind, because somehow it sounds right for this story.

Well look at that! Balloon day! I am ten sales away from hitting 200, so if you wanted to make my day you could check out my book and/or share my pinned Tweet. 🥰😁

And the Oscar goed to.. 😅

Day 30: I finished November with 60K words over two WIPs (27K/33K). And I managed to write every single day. The problem, of course, is that neither WIP can be considered finished even as a zero draft. But I don't think I can repeat this in December. #amwriting

I see posts listing things accomplished in 2023 and all I can come up with is making lots of stupid decisions. Oh well, I am still trying.

Day 25. I somehow managed 50K words. 23K/27K split between two WIPs. I want to keep this productivity till the end of the months, but it's getting harder every day - the easy bits are done.
