Maybe this statistics is in Nigeria. Although, older consultant/fellows in obgyn may have more male but recently across most countries most trainees/residents in obgyn are women and in general we have about 85% of women in this specialty.
If men decided to pull out from Gynaecology, you all would have a lot of issues cos look around you, how many female Gynaecologists do you see? You all should be thanking men who decide to specialise in that messy specialty just to save your delicate and ungrateful arses.
