We live and die in these towns, The Peoples Republic of Wigan in my case.

It wouldn't be Grand Final weekend without massive disruption on the Wigan to Manchester service.

Which bright spark decided to extend the cricket season until deepest September?

Let's hope this is the end of the Joshua Fury Wilder era which has sold boxing short.

Liam Gallagher sounds like the bloke who sings outside Salford Shopping Centre every day.

8 weeks ago, still can't work it out, how did Wigan lose to Hull?

Minstrel of Salford Shopping Centre, I salute you.

Just had a brief stay in Austria and the whole place stinks of efficiency, everything truly runs like clockwork. Coming from Britain where if something works it's a pleasant surprise it's difficult to handle.

The losing Challenge Cup finalists always win the following week. Well done Warrington for bucking the trend.

It's hard to evaluate a player who is still active, but for a long time I've said that the best players I've seen for Wigan were Hanley, Gregory and Ashurst. (I've excluded the short term ones such as Kenny and Ferguson). Welcome to the club, Bevan.

An inspirational man who has made a positive difference to my life and countless others, as well as being a fantastic entertainer and a great guy, I'm not a religious man but will be saying a prayer for Michael Moseley.

I could have sworn that Usyk comfortably beat Joshua twice. No one else seems to remember, was I dreaming?

Rod Stewart was a great rock star 50 years ago, good on the old feller for still having a go but I've heard better Rod tribute acts in Tenerife than the current version.

Seems like a perverse parallel universe when the Boxing world is going crazy for knockouts whilst both rugby codes are obsessed by safety.
