We practiced with caskets that were stored outside our barracks building. To simulate the weight of honored remains, we’d toss several full sandbags into the belly of the casket and then, for hours, we’d go through our exact movements. Over and over and over. (thread)

Literally today felt the moment where my brain went "ooooooh you can't do that today, you don't have the energy." So I pivoted and found a decision that I felt comfortable making, with no stakes & watched a reality tv cooking show. Still can't do the thing, but feeling ok.
