Normally I would choose invisibility as my superpower, and I’ll admit for the wrong reasons. Today, it’s kite day at the beach, and I’m thinking that there might just be a little bit more of a rush and a sense of peace in having the ability to fly.

The most remarkable final project from a student in my summer school class, "Where in Wisconsin Am I?". She wrote a poem about everything we talked about. This poet has no words to describe how much I miss teaching. Sigh. 💙#HSSDSummerSchool2020

This morning I passed a petite abuela walking her dog. I greeted her and walked on. She started to chase after me hollering something. She handed me this four-leaf clover and kissed my cheek. From that moment I resolved to give a little more and love a little harder. #caminoagape
So many times I wanted to quit walking today. Would they notice this bike missing? Coming from a family of strong women, I summoned all of my strength to walk to the Spanish border. This lady’s husband works for Akzo Nobel in GB. It made the pain disappear. #painpushesvisionpulls
