The CORSIA and SAP Workshop is jointly organized by ICAO and ACAO and aimed to guide participants through key aspects of CORSIA implementation, with a focus on (MRV) system and its regulatory requirements.

The CASP-MID successfully delivered the AVSEC Basic Course, which is designed to train base or entry level aviation security personnel to enforce, monitor and apply airport security measures in accordance in accordance with ICAO Annex 17 and Aviation Security Manual Doc 8973.

The ICAO MID Regional Office successfully organized and hosted the MID Regional Workshop on USOAP- CMA. The main objectives of the Workshop were to provide explanations and the latest updates on USOAP CMA and guidance on the use of the USOAP CMA online framework (OLF)

ICAO has commenced a Seminar on Aviation Security Audits which focuses on providing member States with an overview of the audit programme and states’ obligations and responsibilities in relation to the readiness and expectations of the audit.

The CASP-MID has conducted the Landside Security Workshop specifically for Saudi Arabia. It was dedicated to equip relevant aviation security personnel with the necessary guidelines to design and implement preventive security measures in airport landside areas.

The CASP-MID jointly with Egyptian CAA have successfully conducted the X-RAY Screeners training course specifically for Yemen. This training was dedicated to enhancing the skills and capabilities of the aviation security personnel.

ICAO is organizing the 2024 ICAO MID Regional Seminar on Environment, in Cairo , Egypt on 12 - 13 August 2024. The Seminar is hosted by CAA of Egypt. Which aims to raise awareness and exchange views on the implementation LTAG and the Global Framework.
