This @CNN clip centers on a fierce dispute over whether calling transgender girls “boys who play in girls’ sports” is a slur. The man who says it isn’t one says that most people are uncomfortable with this and this helped cost Harris this election.
Though an attack line can land effectively if it rings true with voters in relation to how they perceive your governing track record. In this case they'd be right the Biden-Harris administration chose to pick a big fight on sex and gender in relation to women's and girls' sport.
Most of that goes both ways. But… as a liberal, I think if the left stopped forcing the trans agenda they would immediately start winning elections at the national level. A majority of Americans aren’t for that. They are painting themselves into a corner. It’s making them lose.
Others have been elected in spite of being obnoxious. It’s quite a feat to get elected BECAUSE you’re obnoxious. But there’s another, better reason. Voters fed up with being told they must be racist just because they’re white. And patronised if they deny women can have penises.
This is where a ton of well-off leftist intellectuals are stuck. Insulated from and often ignorant of the real world consequences of the position they've taken, they conclude the masses have been manipulated by influences to which they are too clever and righteous to fall prey.
evidently the "transgender" issue meant a good deal to some voters. can't imagine why anyone feels threatened by such a small number of individuals who might otherwise be regarded sympathetically; & can only conclude that many voters were made to hate & fear by rightwing media…
So much to say about The Dems handing the election to Trump on a plate. If you don’t listen to working people, if you live in a bubble & only connect to likeminded, you simply have no idea what’s going on in the country. UK has done this too.
