Spent a great week in Western NE looking at wheat trials and talking with producers. I'm grateful for our university and producer collaborators who host our plots and help us identify the top wheat lines in the program. It was great to finally meet you all face to face!

He wants a start in farming. So he bought the baler & built the racks. Rents the 4430 from his brother. Baling on 50/50 share with me (my hay) fair split you think? He’s 19. Most his age are at the lake or sand dunes

Will be fun watching this new wheat for ⁦@Huskerwheat⁩ and one of the last releases from ⁦@huskerwheatemer⁩ perform this year under broad acres. Certainly did well last year.

Great technologist, Greg, covered a lot of ground today: McCook, North Platte, Grant, and Alliance. Wheat looking very good for a dry land. Great growers and research centers.

50 yrs ago, I entered ag to help feed people. My hero was Norman Borlaug who said "Take it to the Farmer." This award is full of meaning and very special. Very humbled to receive it. Always glad to work with those who work so hard to produce the food we eat.
