There is basically one and only one big national democratic membership organization of the left with a proven track record that you can join if you want to make a difference in 2025. It's @DemSocialists So join and let's get going!

We do not make history in the circumstances of our choosing; New Yorkers are standing up and fighting back. Tonight we had 320 people attend our DSA 101 to learn about DSA! Our movement is growing, come join us: socialists.nyc/info?source=x

FYI the Dems haven't yet confirmed Biden's last NLRB nomination — even though this would maintain a Democratic Board through late 2026

No one is asking for an apology. What the working class of the country deserves is leadership that can be critical and reflective as to why more workers chose to reject the Democrats. Right now we represent less than 10% of workers. Let’s get to organizing.

"I will be damned if I will apologize for fighting for what's right," says DC37 Prez Henry Garrido says at a Somos labor reception while praising the work that unions did on the election. He said the results are "not a referendum of values"

DSA chapter leaders, you should have gotten an invite in your chapter email to a call for chapter leaders tonight. It's a really important call, PLEASE make sure at least one person from your chapter's leadership can come. If you can't find the invite, lmk and I'll get it to you.

currently working on a strategic plan realizing that i'll never escape making consulting decks—i'm just doing it for free now

i love the podesta emails because there's a serious thread about how chelsea clinton almost drove a senior clinton foundation executive to nearly drive into the east river because she couldn't stand her anymore

NYC Realignment: — Blacks (dark blue, declining) — Gentrifier Class (dark blue, increasing) — Affluent Whites (blue, static) — Latinos & South Asians (light blue, trending red, increasing) — Chinese (light red, trending redder, increasing) — White ethnics (solid red, declining)

A lot of NYC locals are coping by blaming gentrifiers. Habibi, gentrifiers in the Brooklyn and Queens waterfront neighborhoods are one of the reasons why it wasn’t a complete red blowout. Another hard truth: NYC’s Trump voters are white ethnic native New Yorkers and immigrants.

What Dems notably failed to do is change the conditions for the decades-long decline of union membership. Bully pulpit, yes. Crucial legislative wins for many union workers, yes. But union membership and density continue to decline, and with it the Democrats’ electoral base.

We had the most pro-labor President since FDR and the Democrats lost ground. What's your proposal here?

“It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them,” said Sen. Bernie Sanders, pulling no punches.

Staggering class realignment/shift in working class Harris lost DESPITE major shift of affluent voters her way 2020: Trump wins voters over $100K, 54-52 2024: *Harris* wins voters over $100K, 54-45 2020: Biden wins voters $50K-$100K, 57-42 2024: *Trump* w/ voters $50K-$100K,…

my union has officer elections ongoing and our slate groupchat is showing the way: it’s time to organize and build a fighting union that can protect the working class.
