Thank you. This is such an important part of safeguarding vulnerable children.

As we come to the season of school nativity productions, please remember:

I've said it before but affordable, reliable public transport plays a big part in having a greener, more pleasant city and life. The changes to the buses brought in over the past few years in Manchester have been very positive Hoping something changes with the trains soon!

Today, with seven weeks to go until we complete the re-regulation of our buses, we are confirming the new simpler, flatter fare structure to apply from 5/1/25. 👇🏻

Once again, please can we drop the language of 'speaking for those with no voice' ? Most often it's not that some people don't have voices It's that some people are silenced and ignored May we strive to change this, to listen and to be active allies

What a lovely and moving way to mark such a dreadful night.

Today marks the anniversary of Kristallnacht, or the "Night of Broken Glass," which took place on November 9, 1938. In remembrance, we joined a group in our neighborhood to clean Stolpersteine — small brass plaques embedded in the pavement that honor the memory of victims of the…

I’m nervous about calls for @JustinWelby to resign. What is needed is not a scalp but a wholesale change of culture in the church. To build a safer church we need an end to deference, secrecy, tribalism, and bullying in the House of Bishops. Most local clergy understand this.

What are we doing about this please - I don’t see anyone doing anything - how can the world allow this to happen

The Taliban has banned women from speaking to one another. Khalid Hanafi, Taliban’s minister for virtue and vice, declared it forbidden for adult women to let their voices be heard by other women, further restricting existing bans on speaking and showing their faces in public.

It was a very moving service on so many levels. For those of us who remember all those years of being part of MOW, campaigning to see women being priested, it was so special to see over 100 of those who were in that first cohort in 1994. Love these photos!

An incredible Spirit-filled service @StPaulsLondon Blessed to have met many who paved the way for women priesthood. An honoured to preach At one point I was completely overwhelmed by how good God is May we continually work for a church that truly reflects God's goodness & love

What a privilege it was to hear Grace preach at @StPaulsLondon this evening at the Thanksgiving Service for the 30th Anniversary of the Ordination of Women to the Priesthood. It was such a special and significant service, what a joy to be there. @dioceseoflondon @churchofengland

I still remember a senior manager who was known for his ‘Don’t bring me problems, bring me solutions’ line. Of course it meant he didn’t get told the true picture, which can be so dangerous.

The language we use as leaders shapes workplace culture. It plays a critical role in psychological safety. Our words (& the way we communicate) can encourage the experimentation & risk-taking we want our teams to demonstrate for innovation & improvement. It can also stifle…

There’s absolutely no excuse for the butchery of 7 Oct 2023 by Hamas. But neither for the systematic confiscation & erosion of Palestinian land & freedom over the last century, which the world watched but said nothing about. Now is the time to do the things that will bring peace!
