📣Shoutout to the web content people working behind the scenes today to smooth tensions, keep meetings on track, satisfy VP demands, coordinate marketing and IT efforts, put the user first, and implement strategies... still with enough energy to laugh at cat memes. 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Hey web content people in #highered: Don't give up today, OK? You're good at making your site lean, organized, relevant, and relatable. And we need you!

Red tape has stretched a 1-hour task into a 3-week ordeal for my entire career.

I love processes. Processes are great. But if following a process means ignoring a real or changing need, TOSS THE PROCESS.

Email: "Here's the approved content for the new website!" *opens attachment and finds only 2 sentences

Two very different website approaches: "What do we want users to do? And how can we make them do it?" -vs- "What do our users want to do? And how can we help them do it?" #FoodForThought
