After 26 years of service, Crew Manager James Winder of Red Watch retired last night Jim was at Harrogate for 23 years and was previously based at Selby, Richmond and Ripon Fire Stations, also completing stints at HQ and the training centre. We wish Jim a happy retirement!
Thank you to Chris at Bilton Co-Op and his team for letting Harrogate Blue watch use their venue for training last Sunday. The crew did some Breathing Apparatus training at the venue, helping keep our skills up to date 🚒🔥

Busy start to the day in @NorthYorksFire with people continuing to drive into flood water. Signs are in place but even when the fire service are in attendance carrying out rescues, cars continue to drive into the flood water. The fire service do not recover your vehicle
