We are organizing a first of its kind conference at IISER Tirupati, focused on undergraduate and masters level researchers in Biology. A great opportunity for students to present any kind of research they have done. (P.S. We have an amazing line up of speakers too) #ncurb #iiser

Registrations are open !!

Watching people intentionally litter in 2024 is wild. What do you mean you just threw your coffee cup on the ground when there's a bin 20 feet away?

I just learned the professional way to say "I told you so": "This was identified early on as a likely outcome."

My 6-year-old asked where the music goes after we listen to it. I didn’t know whether to go into how sound waves travel, or explain that music isn’t tangible in the way he might think. Maybe this is just a philosophical question. Where DOES the music go?

It should be normalised to go back and study later in life! Allow people that are really passionate to go back to University and science

Man. Seeing this kind of thing makes me want to go back to my physics degree…

just a normal 11pm discussion on how AWESOME IT IS THAT ~20 AMINO ACIDS CAN DO ANYTHING - with a cup of green tea. nice day.

this is a Molecular Biology appreciation post. literally blows my mind every single time. discussions make it even better. @NimalArchish

Careful what you wish for That would also eliminate time as we know it. Shattered glass would spontaneously reconstruct, aging wouldn’t be a thing, distinguishing heat and cold would become meaningless, energy wouldn’t dissipate and the sun would stop burning I say we keep it!

Repeal the Second Law of Thermodynamics. We need perpetual motion machines.

In physics, one often thinks of space and time as being fundamental, pre-existing concepts, and proceeds to define everything else (energy, momentum, forces, etc.) in terms of them. But it doesn't need to be so - symplectic geometry shows us how to go the other way. (1/16)
