This script will always hold the spot of one of the best I’ve ever had the privilege to read. I’m so happy for Gina and Lisa - they deserve the world.

It is beyond an honor to officially announce that Lisa and I made The Black List’s Disability List!!! THE STARRY NIGHT has always held such a special place in our hearts, and we will always fight for main characters that have disabilities. Lisa and I’s FIRST DEADLINE article 🥹

I spent the last couple of months talking every day with someone, and I was really starting to like her. Then I was ghosted. How is dating even more difficult now than a few years ago? Has anyone else felt this?

Three years ago I had a TIA (mini stroke) while on a plane traveling alone. I was lucky enough to not have had a full stroke afterwards, but over this year I’ve started to notice that my short-term memory is getting worse. And honestly it’s starting to scare me.

Some might call me insane for wanting to see Deadpool & Wolverine for the 6th time in theaters, and they could be right.

Message to all writers: This industry is hard and can sometimes fill us with feelings of self-doubt and hopelessness. So celebrate your wins. No matter how big or small, sing them loud and let the rest of us show up to cheer you on. You deserve to feel good about feeling good.

Financially, I’m not doing too hot. But my writing is starting to get noticed, and all I can do is hope that leads to helping the first part. Also, I have this face to look at every day, so I’m winning at something.

The Animation Guild contract negotiations began today and just like they did for the WGA, I stand with them as they fight for a fair contract that pays them livable wages so they can continue making your favorite animations. #StandWithAnimation

CURTAIN CALL also has a small pitch deck ready to go. #ScreenPit #com #tv #spec #pilot

Bright lights. Glamour. Talented actors. Every theatre production has them…right? “CURTAIN CALL” is a mockumentary/comedy series that follows a touring company of a failing musical as they struggle with low ticket sales, insane crew members, and an unreliable cast. #ScreenPit

Happy happy birthday to two incredible writers and members of this community, @lisagemeni and @ginagemeni! May your day be filled with good company, conversation, and your desserts of choice.

I recently finished my first job in Post-Production on a Netflix film, after 2 years in HETV. And lucky for you, I’m going to walk you through some of my daily tasks as an Edit Trainee. Let’s go! 👇🧵 #postchat

Is anyone else frustrated with how out of touch these writers’ emails are? They promote a Pro who reads your entire script & gives feedback. Which, don’t get me wrong, is cool! But then the price point is $500-$1k+. I don’t know about y’all, but I’m just struggling to pay bills.

I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. @Carleey is a fantastic writer. I just had the privilege of reading her newest draft of ABIGAIL FRANKLIN’S IMPROBABILITY OF STARDOM, and it’s the best one yet.

Hey there writers! It's the end of another week - and a sunny one, too! 😎 Which means it's time for another #FiveThingsFriday. So here are 5 #writing opportunities you could apply for over the bank holiday weekend. Ready? Here goes: 🧵

So here's the thing. I wrote a YA female-led horror/teen soap pilot that changed my life. Got me my team, got me multiple jobs, etc etc... But it's my baby and I want to make it more than anything in the world. The current TV landscape is weird. So here it is.

I have a meeting tomorrow morning so of course I’m equal parts nervous and excited. Any and all good vibes would be greatly appreciated.

My short horror film is finally done. I did it. Writing, producing, directing, casting, props, location. For a budget of $1k I did what I could and tried to make the atmosphere fun and encouraging for cast & crew. Is it a masterpiece? No. But it’s an accomplishment.
