Our cardiology team has performed the first Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) implantation to a young patient with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The device prevents sudden cardiac death by detecting abnormal rate & rhythm abnormalities of the heart. Kudos to the team👏🏽
