There’re athletes everywhere who never liked a sport until they got that one special coach who cared. Use your knowledge & your platform to change lives. It doesn’t matter what the sport is. You’re in a very unique position & have the potential to positively impact kids’ futures!

It doesn’t matter if you started last year or last month! No spot is promised. If somebody comes back from the off season & is a better player, a harder worker, more dedicated, they can/will take your spot. Playing time is earned every day in practice. Hard work is the separator!

Create situations that help players learn how to solve problems. Problem = Too many jump balls. Solution = Explore ripping the ball in different representative contexts. Whoever gains possession is on offense. Focus on playing in space quickly after gaining possession.

Cross Jab Options Step across your frame. You are looking to see if you can get outside of your defenders frame, so often this becomes effective when done slowly. If you get outside there, explode to the rim. If they cut you and there is contact, look to spin.

Jump Stop vs Outside Inside Stop When we think playing off of 2 feet, we often think Jump Stop. Here's why I prefer an outside-inside stop.

Coach Haddy Reposted

We attack based on the situation. In a 1v1 situation, we attack our defender. In a 2v1 situation, we attack space.

Live DHO Progression 🔘 1 v 1 - Defense splits the cones and offense goes over the top 🔘 1 v 2 - slide the bottom cone to the side so the defender has to cover more distance. Help side starts on backside block and can leave when the DHO happens 🔘 2 v 2
