@HT_OssettY34Follow Year 3 and Year 4’s exciting learning journey.
We enjoyed our D.T today. We are making pizzas this half term. We started our topic by learning about different chefs including Italian ones. We also explored different recipe books & websites. The children could spot the features of a recipe: an ingredients list & method!
🌎🇮🇹The towels represented the different layers of the earths surface. Two pupils acted as the tectonic plates colliding and pushing the earths surface causing folds. The children then labelled the features of a mountain 🌎🇮🇹
🌎🇮🇹In geography today we were learning about different types of mountain formations. We learnt that The Alps in Italy are an example of fold mountains and we learnt how they were formed. 🌎🇮🇹
🦷 Today year 3 and 4 had a visit from the School nursing team to talk to us about our teeth and how to look after them properly🦷
🌲Our spirituality tree in the school entrance is blooming with gorgeous contributions from our children. I love the answers that have been given to this half terms big question- “What is the most precious thing to you?”🌲
We are loving learning French! We learnt how to ask someone what their name was and also learnt how to reply with what our name is! 🇫🇷
Great start to our gymnastics in P.E this week. We worked on gymnastics shapes and created sequences with a group of friends!
Wow, 3OP! I was blown away with the confidence shown in our reading lesson today! So many amazing story teller voices and reading fluency!
🎵 This is one of 3OP’s favourite lessons of the week! We love learning music and drumming🎵
🎇And you can’t go to a firework display without having a hot dog! Scrumptious, fluffy, warm were just some of the words used to describe the food! 🌭
✏️We went to a fireworks display in our writing lesson today! We used our senses to jot down notes about what we could smell, hear, see and feel. ✏️🎇
Today 3OP joined 5/6SW to pay their respects at our school cenotaph. The children read out some poems that they had created and a prayer.
We have done some fabulous debating in our history lessons this week. We discussed which age we think would be the best to live in - Stone Age, Bronze Age or Iron Age. Ask your children what they thought and why. ⭐️
Wow look at how great year 3 are doing with their learning of column addition with exchanges! Well done!
The children have been doing their own bar rhythm and how to show to a musician to repeat their bar! Look at their bar repeat marks. Great job 👏
We really love discussing our text in our reading hour with our partners and sharing our ideas with the rest of the class! ⭐️ 🙌 we are doing ‘The Way Home For Wolf’ this week by Rachel Bright. See if your child can tell you some of the other stories our author has written!
Hello everyone, I’m Mrs Drury and I will be taking over from Mrs O’ Toole in year 3. I have been a primary school teacher for 15 years now. You may recognise me as both of my children attend Holy Trinity and I also worked here last year. I’m so excited to meet you all on Monday!
