Why what the Tories did in Downing Street can NEVER be forgiven or forgotten, no matter how much they would like it to be. The rules were for everyone… or no one.

Isn't it strange that the right wingers are always saying they want their country back but they don't make any fuss about the Tories flogging off our essential services and industries to foreign countries and individuals.

Italy owns our railway operators, China our nuclear power stations, Canadian pensioners our water utilities, India our steel industry and now a Czech billionaire is buying Royal Mail. This is what the Tories call 'taking back control'.

James Daly refused to answer what he thought Angela Rayner had done wrong, looks like wasting police time 🤷‍♀️ ( Beth Rigby's incredulity kills me 😂; bless Chris Bryant)

#Ridge: Would you like to apologise to Angela Rayner on behalf of the Tories? Bim Afolami(Tory MP): No... I've got nothing else to add SR: You'd quite a lot to add before? BA: She could have put an end to this SR: So it's Angela Rayner's fault then? BA: Yes #politicshub

Not on here much these days, but will check back periodically. Ditched home broadband some weeks ago (very intermittent and increasingly poor service for an ever increasing cost). Surprisingly finding I’m not missing social media that much — especially all the bots/ads on here!

Mhairi Black: "We rightly condemn the violent acts of Iran, so too must we condemn the the violent acts of Israel... if 100 missiles... constitutes as disproportionate, then so to must Israel's bombardment of Gaza" Rishi Sunak: It's important not to try & draw any equivalence

From the FT comments, sums it up nicely!

So the future of our rivers is now in the hands of Chinese state-owned banks…🤦‍♂️ How could this have ever come to pass❓

Funny how the Tories are only opposed to state ownership when it's the British state owning it's own stuff.

So studies have shown #vaping causes cancer too — well there’s a surprise (not). Been telling my kids who vape, that later down the line it will be proven that vaping is just as bad as cigarette smoking (who knows possibly worse?). Why are they allowed to sell unproven products?

Michelle Donelan was Sec of State for Education from July 5th-7th 2022. 35 hours in total. For that she was due a "redundancy" of £16,000+....but didn't take it Stand Up and Fight Sunak fangirl Penny Mordaunt says we should be grateful!!

So, @bbcpm @EvanHD members of the government can libel people to their hearts content knowing that public money will pay the legal fees and any damages? #bbcpm How convenient.

Every year, parliament enacts a pantomime with deadly consequences. A man with a red box (might as well be a red nose) promises to increase people’s prosperity and happiness. He robs the poor, hands more to the rich. Can't rebuild economy on that. leftfootforward.org/2024/03/why-je…

For all the red wall voters who voted Tory at the last GE — do you still believe they’re #LevellingUp?

Didn’t see Jeremy Hunt highlight this very important growth factor in his budget today. …any ideas as to why? 🤔

UK trade intensity (exports plus imports divided by GDP) has not recovered in line with other G7 countries since the pandemic. We continue to expect that Brexit will reduce the UK’s potential GDP by 4% in the long run by lowering the trade intensity of the economy. #Budget2024

I recall Sunak, when he was popular, explaining why increasing National Insurance was the only way to reduce NHS waiting lists and rebuild social care. "Anything else would be irresponsible and dishonest." Guess he's more comfortable with "irresponsible and dishonest" now. ~AA
