It’s just working out.

Culture: 💥 Working with people you like. 💥 Believing in a well-defined mission. 💥 Feeling a sense of ownership. 💥 Finding meaning and purpose outside of oneself. 💥 Experiencing joy in the success of others aka “MUDITA”. 💥 Winning.
👀👀Athletes, not lifters. As we approach “max out season”, it’s important to remember.
High school athletes: the weight room isn’t just for football players. Whether it’s baseball, basketball, or soccer, strength gives you the edge! ⚽🏀🏈 #MultiSportAthletes #StrengthAndPower
These are unfortunate facts. When you are around the WRONG people, You are the BAD guy for having high standards. Get around the RIGHT people, and these people LOVE being pushed & the relentless pursuit of Excellence!
It is mind blowing that people who hold others accountable often are viewed as the “bad guy” in todays society. Everyone wants to win.. but very few want to TRULY do what it takes to be a winner!

In coaching in Texas for 30 years a key driver of program success isn’t just having superior athletes. IMO having a vertically aligned, structured, disciplined junior high/middle school program is critical. Otherwise you spend 2 years playing catch up to those programs that do.
I saw that! I see this as how good he is at applying Game Speed. He can get well over 14-16 mph in a 5-7 yard sprint. But in a game, at 5-7 yards, he controls his speed to 11 mph so he can still make moves. You DO NOT SPRINT in order to set up AGILITY.
$10/month for anything and everything I know Speed and Agility wise. Start and stop at anytime. Learn and jump off. That simple. Link below.
If you’re a young coach trying to, or just getting into S&C, go find 20-30 13 year olds and train them as a whole group for 6 months. Do it for free if you have to. It will be the best education you can get. You’ll learn to COACH. Or you’ll learn to find another line of work.
Transactional coaches: • Boss others around • Micromanage • Blame others • Look to be served • See themselves as being above others TRANSFORMATIONAL coaches: • Lead by example • Empower others • Take accountability • Selflessly serve others • Know that we’re all in…
Success in high school sports isn’t just talent. It’s dedication in the weight room, attention to nutrition, and discipline every day. 💯 #StrengthCoach #HighSchoolAthletes”
At the high school level, simplicity wins. Brilliance with the Basics, NOT Mediocrity w/ the Basics. Expert Coaching. Mandatory Weight Room 3 x Week. More steak and eggs, raw milk and plenty of fruits. Commitment, NOT "I'm too busy" BS.

The best athletes I’ve been around are obsessed with the details. The ones that take as much pride and effort in practice as they do in the game. The earlier you learn that as an athlete, the better.

Always intriguing / shocking how many schools allow anyone to run the weight room, perhaps the only place in a school where a kid can die because he / she is doing the wrong thing. Why would you NOT want an expert in the room?! @NHSSCA
