Famine is no longer looming allover Sudan. It is real now. It is happening. UN should immediately announce Sudan as famine-ridden country, and take necessary operational steps to save lives of millions.
Regrettably, the UNSC's decision to end UNITAMS mandate shows that the world has decided to abondon Sudan to face humanitarian and political disastors of its own making.
At what stage the international, regional, and national engaging actors will declare that Sudan has reached a stage of actual civil war? Is it not already at that stage? Sudan is already in full civil war.
I repeat the question which I have asked before: how many Sudanese innocent people need to be dead, missing, displaced, and or wounded to convince Sudabese leaders, and regional and international actors to stood up and say "enough is enough" and move practically to stop the war?
YCON_SUDAN continued to monitor & Observe declared truce for 72 hours. Below is the report of violations observations that occurred by both sides of the conflict against civilians in a number of states. To read the report in English, click on the link: drive.google.com/file/d/18T1W-1…
If more than 1000 innocent peoples were killed in Geneina, Western Darfur, in few days, how many more lives should parish to convince key international actors to decisively intervene to prevent another genocide in the making in Darfur?
Sudanese youth have demonstrated once again that they determined to shape own future. twitter.com/matnashed/stat…
#Sudan 's civil society -- trapped and under threat from both belligerents in a war -- have more courage, determination and integrity then any diplomatic initiative or envoy claiming to help by reciting empty talking points and recycling broken mediation frameworks.
Sadly, recurring crisis in Sudan like the ongoing one, instead of unifying Sudsnese, it divide them further, politically and socially. This is essentially becuase of severe deficit in political leadership in the contemporary Sudan.
I hope the freshly signed Jedah Humanitarian Declaration will not, and should not, be added to Sudan's "too many agreements dishonoured".
While the negotiations roll in Jeddah, both strands of #Sudan's military project continue to level Khartoum and break apart what existing infrastructure there was, threatening landmarks/public institutions. The iconoclasm is not incidental, it is part of the unmaking of the state

The unfolding political crisis, seemingly between military institutions with its humanitarian tragedy, is essentially a manifestation of severe deficit in political leadership in Sudan. Stoping this unabated fight will be feasible when this reality is comprehended by all actors.
For how long the Trilateral Mechanism will continue to talk to, and receive initiatives or position documents from the competing poltical coalitions? What it intends to do with those documents? And why "national consensus" is a precondition for formation of civilian government?
