We've got a stellar cellar team working behind the scenes, getting everything ready for a fantastic 2024 harvest! Do you think 2024 will be a standout vintage? 🍷🍇
The 2021 vintage of our most historic wine, Paris Tasting Commemorative Chardonnay, was a favorite of The Somm Journal's Meridith May. You'll be able to read all about her visit to our tasting room when the next issue of The Somm Journal drops this fall!
The lush tannins and subtle acidity of our Merlot marry perfectly with the zing of grilled chorizo tostadas. Don't take our word for it though - try it out yourself! 🥘 📜 bit.ly/4dIFQnt
Clear skies, crisp wines, and a balmy breeze on our patio mean that it's a Rosé kind of day at Grgich Hills Estate - will you be joining us? ☀️ 🍷
Clean and green - both describe the new fleet of tractors we've recently put to work! We worked with @bayareadistrict to secure a grant that helped us replace 4 tractors with energy-efficient vehicles that greatly reduce our emissions. #MoyerBayArea

With a distinct lack of malolactic fermentation, our Chardonnay's natural acidity stands out. Pioneered by our co-Founder Mike Grgich, this unique style earned him the nickname "King of Chardonnay."
We were delighted to take part in the Napa Valley Grapegrowers Organic Winegrowing Conference 2024, where our Winemaker Ivo Jeramaz spoke about the artistry of organic vineyard floor management. Let's go green, Napa Valley!
An 'owl'-natural way of keeping pesky rodent populations at bay, we see dozens of owl families making themselves at home in our many nest boxes each year. We're happy to rent the space to them - in exchange for their work as our gopher-catching team!
It’s the season of al-fresco dining, and we’ve curated a selection of wines that pair effortlessly with breezy evenings and hot-off-the-grill dishes. Check them out here: grgich.com/product/summer…
We've always been proud of our Zinfandel, especially considering its Croatian origins. At 135 years old, the vines that produce this wine have developed an expressive and unique flavor - a sentiment echoed by The Tasting Panel Magazine, who awarded our 2020 Zinfandel 93 points.
Did you know that one of the easiest ways to check on the health of your vineyard is by looking at the dirt? A dark color, high moisture, earthy aroma, and worm activity are all signs that your soil is as strong as can be!
On July 4th, 1977, Austin Hills and Mike Grgich broke ground in Rutherford, California, in pursuit of their shared ambition. 47 years later, we'd like to raise a toast to the 248th birthday of the United States, and to an American dream fulfilled. Cheers, and živeli!
Even after this cover crop succumbs to the heat of summer, it'll still be doing it's job to protect our soil. The dried vegetation blocks the Sun's rays from heating up our earth, keeping the microbes that live there nice and cool year-round.
Grapes aren't the only things growing on our vines this summer - thanks to our regenerative practices, all sorts of native birds like to call our vineyards home too.
