Lots to unpack, but this stood out regarding new Van Halen music & content that may emerge one day: @IAmJericho: "it seems like there's a lot of stuff that's going to be coming out with Van Halen in the future, which is very exciting." Alex Van Halen: "Yeah, it'll keep it…

Allow me to quote the trailer: “Michael f**king McDonald”

We love this movie. Hope you do, too.

Had a small B&W TV in my bedroom as a kid in Bayside, Queens in late 70s. On @wpix 11 NY, while my parents slept, I watched late night: Honeymooners The Odd Couple Star Trek Miss those days!

Today, November 13, was the day Felix Unger was asked to remove himself from his place of residence. The request came from his wife.

5150

There's an instrumental track on 'Mob Rules' titled 'E5150' and by coincidence, five years after that came an album titled '5150' by @VanHalen @eddievanhalen was a really close friend of mine and we stayed in touch since their first tour with Sabbath in 1978. I just clicked with…

Speaking of George Benson … 💨 …. Listen to the background music as Alex Van Halen is interviewed in Dutch. 6-25-1982 on.soundcloud.com/2Z9H6TERMC3VRu…

💨 Also check out the Quincy Jones’ produced LP Give Me the Night. Great songs and playing by Benson.

“Breezin’” by George Benson peaked at #63 on the Billboard Hot 100 on this day in 1976. It was one of two hit singles from Benson’s “Breezin’” album, the other being “This Masquerade”, which peaked at #10.

👀 🐝 🎸 wait for it

Between scenes #LopezVsLopez @nbc - a little @SantanaCarlos 🙏🏽

Balance, perhaps because it came out in 1995, often gets overlooked in the Van Halen catalog. Many great songs on it - including 🇳🇱 Amsterdam - and a wide range of EVH keyboard (piano, etc) & acoustic & electric guitar performances

“Amsterdam” came on while waiting for daughter to get out of hoops practice. I forgot what a tune that was. @GregRenoff

This is a great window into the past: Jan 1990, @RikiRachtman tells @soundgarden’s Chris Cornell that Axl Rose “thinks you’re the best vocalist out there” Chris, smiling: “Wow.”

Headbangers Ball w/ Riki Rachtman (1990) Guests: Chris Cornell & Kim Thayil (Soundgarden) Over a year out from the grunge explosion, Chris & Kim hype the Seattle music scene.

Don’t be shocked when this 🎸 man delivers the a definitive concept album inspired by Cormac’s no country for old men, 📕 propelled by copious amounts of EVH licks! 🔥

📕

Just finished. HIGHLY recommend if Van Halen’s music from ‘78-‘84 moves you, like it has moved me since I was a young teenager. Alex’s voice in the words makes it read like you can “hear” him speaking. Such a heartfelt love letter to his brother, the great, Edward Van Halen.
