#AskSNB in what ways does the hype around Aaron Judge distract the team, if any

Someone asked, how to get a young boy reading... I fell in love with reading starting with “The Hardy Boys”, then Louis L’Amour. The key is finding something the child likes. I recommend these...

Just finished ONWARD. Like it or hate it Starbucks treats their employees well. Wish we had more CEO’s like this. I also like their coffee, and it’s nice that I can get the same cup of coffee in Seattle and in Miami.

To all you Veterans. Thank you for your service. To those who aren’t, here is a little unknown book about the men who rescued Eddie Rickenbacher and his air-crew who were many days at sea in a life raft. “We Thought We Heard Angles Sing.”

We all need to be inspired! Read THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO. How can you not be thrilled by the ability to overcome? This might be one of the best books I’ve ever read (and re-read). Definitely belongs in everyone’s library.

When people traveled west, in wagons with limited space issues, only the greatest of books were taken. If faced with an issue today (No kindle option). What books would be on your priority list? For me, top of list, Bible, Tolkien, Plato, Thomas Paine, Francis Bacon... You?

HOW TO WIN FRIENDS & INFLUENCE PEOPLE is timeless. How can you go wrong smiling at others, using their name, and truly taking into account their needs. I’ve encouraged all of my college aged children to read it, and they have, to their own betterment.

A great read about leadership, overcoming, confidence, perseverance, and choices. ENDURANCE - the story of Shackleton’s Voyage is well written and inspiring. True stories, always take things up a notch!

Election Day. Half of us will win, and half of us will lose. Remember Little League? When you won, you shook the other teams hand and everyone went out for Pizza. When you lost, you shook hands and everyone went out for pizza. Win or lose, shake hands, and be kind to everyone!

News got you down? Tired of hearing about politics and viruses? TIME TO LAUGH! Read “The Grasshopper Trap” by Patrick F McManus. I actually had tears on the face reading this guy. I needed that!

With all the negative, ‘the Rona virus’, politics, protesting, and unemployment. Turn off the TV and read a great book! You will be happier and healthier for it. May I recommend two classics. Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe or Treasure Island by Robert Lewis Stevenson.

I’ve sat down with some aged Gorgonzola, cherry preserves, wine, and the book “Alaska’s Wolf Man” by Jim Rearden. Only ninety pages in and I can say with certainty, this book is a great read!

The problem with reading a book a day? Just when you get to love a character you are moving on. Not so tonight and tomorrow. Returning to an old friend. Jack Reacher in “Blue Moon”. I’d give a shout out to Lee Child but there are too many... someone tweet at him. :)

“Ruble Noon” by Louis L’Amour. It’s the original “Bourne Identity.” Same story, different time, different names. Loved them both. Anyone know if there’s another ‘version’ out there where a hero wakes up with amnesia and fighting skills?

Want to read amazing character development? Read the entire Hornblower series by C.S. Forester. Beginning to end, HH, is a character you will watch grow and love.
