Year 6 have finished their WW2 air raid shelters. They had to be strong (withstand a 1kg weight); be waterproof (not leak when 200ml of water was poured on top); and be sturdy (not collapse under the blast of a hairdryer). What a successful project! #GJSDT @OakTreesMAT

Year 6 have been remembering those who have lost their lives and made sacrifices due to war. We have also been thinking about our own hopes for the future, and our hopes for peace. #LestWeForget @OakTreesMAT

This morning, our dedicated Site Manager, Mr. Whiteley, who also serves as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Merseyside Army Cadet Force, attended the Remembrance Service. We’re proud to have staff who honour and support our community with such dedication. #LestWeForget @OakTreesMAT
