Interesting that LLMs can make graph descriptions, but could they just draw diagrams? Or could text-to-image diffusion models? Are diagramming aesthetics and constraints too absolute and combinatorial, not probabilistic enough?

Before trash-talking someone else's code, always keep in mind they probably tried to do the best they could given their specific knowledge and context of the situation back then.

Homebrew graphviz depends on python, clang/gcc, ghostview, webkit, who knows, swig? R? because build environment and optional packages are made into requirements. It’s not just homebrew, either. There’s a lot of overkill in other popular build environments.

I don't understand the fascination with graphs, the nodes-and-edges kind. Everything in life is a graph and that's just a fact. 🙃

How to use that graph package they no one can use. Graphvis?

If you like an open source project but feel like their documentation is lacking, write an unofficial guide and share it on GitHub. Don't have enough spare time for this? Well, yeah—exactly.

Strong dislike: "we don't need 'academic' topics like graphs." Objects form graphs; manipulating objects is thinking about graphs. Module imports and function calls form graphs. The ordering dependencies between your code changes over time form a graph. Everything is graphs.

Also thank you very much to @discourse for forum.graphviz.org!

Awesome breakdown of PSGraph. I am such a visual person, having this module to render graphs of the way things connect to each other has been great for me. If anyone is interested in a longer deeper dive to see what is possible: youtube.com/watch?v=8GvrVN…

You can now easily view and share a rendering of a GraphViz graph definition that's held in a github gist. 🚀 github.com/dreampuf/Graph… This is thanks to the bounty I put on having the feature added.

The WireViz graph generator is working. A Python-based generator outputs a GraphViz file that can be rendered into beautiful SVG and PNG images. In the future, a parser / GraphViz extension will make documenting wiring harnesses even easier. github.com/formatc1702/Wi…

New release! Excel to Graphviz can now auto-refresh as you type values into cells or change ribbon options. Lots of other new features too. You can obtain it here --> goo.gl/T4FW3r

We need a little help with #cmake. gitlab.com/graphviz/graph… mainly, a file color_lib needs to be copied to the build directory, and CFLAGS has to be set in two places
