I am a heritage German American on my fathers side- Palatine Germans who arrived in NY in 1710. My mothers side is recent German arrivals.
We are heritage Americans. My ancestors go back to 1740, and hers go back to 1640.

This announcement from Trump alone, if followed through, makes it all worth it and is more than I expected to see in my lifetime.
Trump talking about his German and Scottish heritage: his grandfather was from Kallstadt, in the Kingdom of Bavaria, and his mother was from the Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Is he embarrassed by this? Does he portray these places as part of a "slob continent" that doesn’t innovate?

Kennedy told everyone not to vote for him, endorsed Trump, and still got more votes than the Libertarian Party. I remember when people thought libertarianism was a viable 3rd option, but I think we’ve seen it’s final death knell, thankfully.
