Summer tends to be more insects related calls . Insects need heat to do well and boy have we had some heat this year ! As a result we have been flat out doing wasp nests , fleas and bedbugs on top of our normal rodent calls.

Just getting a bit quieter now after a very very busy two years of rodent work, the Isle of Wight had suffered with a massive rat issue post covid, just time to recharge our batteries before spring arrives our new little helper getting ready!!

A stressful situation but it's worth noting that (unlike it says in the article) you can't get Lyme disease from a rat bite. 🐀 🎤 Anyone want to tell us how you could get it? Or what disease you could get from a rat bite? News: ow.ly/6V0O50EALWu #PestControl #Wales

Unusual job today . we usually aim to eradicate or stop pests from entering a customers premises . Yesterday we dealt with an escaped ... hamster!!!!!!!!. . In this case we definitely didn't want to eradicate it ,t here she ready to go back in her cage !!!

Rats , and more rats that's what going on . Where possible we are using non toxic control methods . Some jobs require rodenticide and where rat numbers are really high traps may not work so at Good Knight Pest Control we use the most appropriate method , non toxic when possible

Rats in a flat , instead of just trapping we went to neighbours down stairs , crawl space had this mains power coming out of ground with lots of little ratty foot prints in dust around it , proofed and traps laid in loft , we may have to do adjoining crawl space but its a start

Good speech what else do people really expect when cities are burning and people getting hurt

Big rats about at the moment and lots of them!! Flat out removing rats !! , this large one was over eighteen inches long that trap cover is twenty two inches long!!!- Non toxic control

Local company has just announced review of use of poisons etc, we have been using traps where possible for rodents for four years now , its the way to go. Rodenticide some times necessary for large rodent jobs but our last choice

we treated our first wasp nest of season with diatomaceous earth. gardener stung several times whilst digging fruit tree bed. Wasps entering hole treated with DE earth. No pesticides or poisons , no chance of chemicals getting into fruit non toxic , and COPR regulations met!
