Now that's the Golden Outback. Not another car in sight, just you and the wide-open red dirt roads. Who else feels most at peace when you're out there exploring? Pic: IG/the_troopy_way

"Sleeping under the stars at Wooleen Station campsite. The stars out here were the most brilliant I have ever seen." The starry night skies you experience out in the Golden Outback are like nothing you have ever seen before. Pic: IG/keepingupwithlittlejoneses #goldenoutback

Esperance Stonehenge always has a special feeling to it, but this photo gives us all the feels. Lit up under a sky full of stars, the full-size replica looks even more stunning in this light. A must see if you're visiting Esperance and the Fitzgerald Coast. Pic: @dalex120593

This is the type of sunrise you can expect along the Canning Stock Route. Definitely worth waking up early to catch this amazing display before you pack up camp and continue your adventure! Pic: IG/virrojo #goldenoutback

Australia's Biggest BBQ at the worlds biggest Rock on 7th September 2019. This is a super special annual event that needs to be on any adventurous foodie's to do list! Enjoy delicious outback beef, served with fresh local produce, in the extraordinary setting of Mount Augustus.

Be sure to add Lake Lefroy to your next Goldfields adventure checklist. 💙 Head to Red Hill Lookout in Kambalda to get sweeping views of the stunning Lake Lefroy, a 40-kilometre salt pan lake, and the surrounding bushland. Pic: IG/wrenees #goldenoutback

No, it's not photoshop. No, it's not the Pink Lake located in Esperance. This is Lake Hillier and it's located on Middle Island, accessible by scenic flight or cruise! Yes, it is this pink all year round! Yes, a trip here really will make your friends jealous! Pic: IG/saltywings

"Exploring the beautiful Cape Le Grand National Park, it feels like we just stepped into Jurassic Park!" This amazing national park is located an hour from Esperance and is an adventure playground! Pic: IG/hilaryl_ #goldenoutback

The beautiful gorges and red, rugged landscape of Kennedy Range National Park is awe-inspiring. Once here you can lace up your boots and go exploring the many gorges, sandstone cliffs and amazing viewpoints. Pic: IG/sparkysontheloose #goldenoutback #thisiswa

When it's too cold for the beach waves, head inland to this awesome wave! Wave Rock is one of the most popular attractions in the Wheatbelt and a fantastic road trip from Perth. Don't forget your surfing selfie! Pic: IG/ckshah_photography #goldenoutback #thisiswa #waverock

How cool is this view of Lake Ballard? In the middle of the vast salt lake, famous for its 51 steel statues, sits "Salt Lake Hill". You can make the short hike to the top to see right across the lake and spot all of the statues, glimmering in the distance. Pic: IG/air.framed

We just love the rugged backdrop of the Cape Le Grand National Park. The mountain in the distance is Frenchman's Peak. At 262m above sea level, it's an adventurous climb up but you're rewarded with views over the National Park, beaches and ocean bays. Pic: IG/letmetravelmore

"Go somewhere that makes you forget your phone..." What a great idea! We love seeing travellers find such extraordinary and remote places throughout the region, and it's just amazing to see them reconnect with nature and the land. Pic: IG/zilwa_adventures #goldenoutback

Rise and shine, it's the start of a new week! There's one definite way to make Monday mornings better, and it's an incredible sunrise like this! Worth the early wake up to put you in a great mood for the rest of the day. Pic: IG/mooniemiared #goldenoutback #goodmorning

Instead of donning your bikini and snorkel down in Esperance, why not try something new? Like sandboarding the amazingly white dunes of Wylie Bay! This place is just 20 minutes from Esperance and is accessible by 4WD. Pic: IG/aquabumps #goldenoutback #thisiswa #esperance
