Overplaying your role doesn't make people appreciate you more. It makes them value your time and energy a lot less. People pleasing is a race to the bottom. People will appreciate you for giving them a drop of water, but take you for granted for giving them the entire ocean.
The more emotional intelligent you become, the less you take things personally. You start to see that other people's behaviors are often reflections of their own struggles, not a statement about your worth.
If you read or watch documentaries on China before 1953 and its development from 1978, you'll realize the African problem can easily be solved with great leadership. Till then Shalom🙏😂
