We've got some exciting new features coming in the next big release of #GridScore like providing trait reference images, self-hosting a GridScore server and new export formats! Stay tuned for the new release soon. #phenotyping #bioinformatics @HuttonICS gridscore.hutton.ac.uk
As part of an upcoming new release of #Germinate, we're looking into spider/radar charts. These are very useful for sensory data, but are also more generally useful for #trials data.
That's all for now! But there'll be many more things to look forward to in the near future, so keep an eye out! In the meantime, why not check out the new cow trial or any of the other new features? 7/7 gridscore.hutton.ac.uk
⛶ A new setting will let you choose if you want the stepper buttons next to a whole number input to be bigger. This can be useful if you're using it for counting. We're working on adding vibration feedback as well. 📳 6/7
🗓️ The trait data history view has been updated to fix issues and show the historic data in a more useful way. 5/7
🗺️ A new example trial has been added showcasing the new GPS trait as well as a different use-case for GridScore where we scored data on cows. 4/7
🏷️Two new trait types have been added in the form of a GPS trait and an image trait. These let you record the GPS position of an entity and take pictures of it respectively. 3/7
📈 We've added a germplasm performance page so you can see how a particular germplasm compares to the rest of the trial on a trait by trait basis. 2/7
Happy to announce another update to #GridScore for even more #phenotyping goodness. Have a look through the thread for more details. gridscore.hutton.ac.uk 1/7
A new version of #GridScore is out. Check out this 🧵for some highlights! #phenotyping #boldcwr @CropTrust @HuttonICS 1/6
We only just released a new version with lots of features, but development never stops! Next feature coming soon is a germplasm performance page showing how well a germplasm performs against the rest of the trial per trait. #phenotyping #GridScore

Great blog from @BazRaubach, who was invited to present his work on #bioinformatics research software development, at @LeibnizIPK The visit included a tour of the PhenoSphere – chambers in which environmental conditions can be strictly controlled. More: bit.ly/3ytIhuD
Thanks to our collaboration with @lucernebreeder as part of #BoldCWR @CropTrust we have added support for highlighting of controls/checks in the data input as well as visualizations. Thanks to @MichaelMajorMed for the last photo. 2/3
We have released a new version of #GridScore. A new statistical overview over you trials shows active periods, area covered and much more. We also added support for defining trial contributors and their responsibilities. #phenotyping @JamesHuttonInst @CropTrust 1/3
Thanks to everyone turning up to my presentation at @LeibnizIPK where I talked about #GridScore, @GerminateHub and #Helium for genotypic, phenotypic, and pedigree data and highlighted why expecting "Everything everywhere all at once" from an #RSE is unrealistic.
Looking forward to my talk at @LeibnizIPK genetics seminar next week. I'll be talking about #GridScore, @GerminateHub and #Helium for #phenotypic data collection, #PGR and #genotypic data storage, and #pedigree visualization.
