Is that all? --Nothing about the two people kidnapped on 3 Jan? --Nothing about a similar event on 16 Jan? --What about the well-attested firing of "warning shots" by the occupants in the direction of an EUMM patrol on 13 Jan? Were none of these discussed? Utterly incredible!

I do hope the Russians or whoever do not claim the shooting was an accident. In the UK military world there is no such thing as an 'accidental ' discharge of a weapon- the charge is negligence.

The last time the Russians 'tried it on' was in January 2013, as I recall, when they advanced an Observation Post some 350m inside "TAT" at that very 'finger'.
Bending over backwards to be impartial and ever-ready to concede that the occupants might have a case!

Representatives of @EUMMGeorgia's press service confirmed to Georgian media that the observers were near the ABL during the incident, but the mission's observers were not injured.
