A fantastic achievement for the INGR1D2 trial especially in the week celebrating world diabetes day. A huge thanks to the 1486 babies (and their parents) from @Gateshead_NHS who have been recruited to the study so far contributing to this vital research. @ChristineMC212

We've now recruited 20,000 babies to our INGR1D2 trial! The trial identifies babies at risk of type 1 diabetes through routine bloodspot screening, so no extra tests are required. Huge thanks to everyone who has been involved! #WorldDiabetesDay 👉bit.ly/3USDUBU
