To be clear: normal democracies don't have a political party with an electoral strategy based on a combination of 1) preventing minorities from voting with suppression tactics; 2) arbitrarily blocking votes from being counted; 3) staying in power despite receiving fewer votes.

Fallen leaves of #Magnolia macrophylla (Big-leaf Magnolia) reveal their silvery undersides at #SmithCollegeBotanicGarden today. This species apparently has the largest simple leaf of any tree native to North America, up to ~75 cm long!

I took several Begonia luxurians cuttings today Here’s how I prepare them remove the lower leaves never pull them off always cut about 1cm away from the stem this will then drop off in a few days. I then reduce the leaf that’s left by about half ,then pop it in water to root 🌱
