I'm 69 years old and have been living with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer since 2011. I have had many ups and downs but have a positive story to tell!!

Just updated and read my story from the beginning for the first time. I realised just how lucky I am to have such wonderful people around me and that I am actually strong as well as positive. Strangely my own story has given me motivation. Please read at drive.google.com/file/d/1yD6k5x…

On 16th November 1974 at 2.30, 50 years ago, I married Jackie. We are now celebrating at Centerparcs with family. After being diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer in January 2011, I am an extremely lucky man. Thank you for your kind messages, It is greatly appreciated 🥳🥂

My daughter, Debbie, and I had a wonderful evening with PCUK. Met the Duchess of Gloucester, who was lovely. Met so many great people and celebrities, including my good friend @ethansgrumps, all there for 1 cause, raising awareness. Sat is my 50th wedding anniversary 🥳🪅🥳🪅❤️

I've been to Royal Marsden for 3rd cycle of EcarboX. Nearly didn't happen due to bloods showing very low white cells, but after a discussion, it was decided to go ahead. After this cycle, scans and bloods will be done to check the progress of decease, if good 3 more cycles 😃🤞👍

I was asked by Orchid male cancer charity to give a quote about their new campaign showing messages of the similarity of filling your petrol tank. Very innovative and eye-catching and a great guide for early detection. If you are worried, get checked 😃👍

This is my experience of nearly 14 years of Advanced Prostate Cancer. I want to show there is hope even when having a bad prognosis. Take every day and make memories you will cherish 😃💪👍 1drv.ms/w/c/1504773a71…

Another day in A&E yesterday. Pain in chest, side and feeling faint. I had an ECG to rule out heart attack. Had bloods, CT scan on abdomen and chest x-ray which showed inflammation and infection in my left kidney. Given IV antibiotics and sent home with tablets 🙄 👍💪

I have a ghost Koi in my pond. My grandson Freddie asked if we could call it Koi Havertz as he is one of his favourite Arsenal players 😀 The name has stuck now 😂

I went to another family funeral, my aunt Anne. She was married to 1 of my mum's brothers and was a lovely lady in every way. There's not many of their generation left, so sad 😮‍💨

Had a Zometa infusion and having chemo at the Marsden on Monday afternoon. Having 2 Infusions followed by 2 weeks on an oral chemo. 2nd cycle of a possible 6. A week ago I received a card in the post. Received a special invitation and will meet up with my PC mate @ethansgrumps 😃

I had my 2nd cycle of my triple chemo EcarboX yesterday at the Royal Marsden, and I'm buzzing. Being 1 of the lucky men diagnosed very late, as was my friend @ethansgrumps, we are doing everything we can to get early detection for all men. Please help by going to @ProstateUK 💪

Been to the Royal Marsden today, to check bloods and have a consultation. Best news ever, my levels are normal and start back on chemo next week 😃🤞👍💪

Went to the Royal Marsden yesterday, they cancelled my chemo because of my kidney levels. Gave me a full body MRI scan. They phoned this morning to say there's no progression of decease and my kidneys look fine. They are having a team meeting to discuss the way forward😃🤞💪

Just got back from the hospital having follow-up bloods after my A&E visit. My neutrophil level went from 0.49 to 3.1 and my creatinines went down from 148 to 112. Feel really good.😃👍💪

Would be grateful for a RT. My daughter was not a celebrity, she was just a normal individual who unfortunately died from a brain cancer. I'm trying to raise awareness of glioblastoma, a grade 4 tumour that took her at the age of 19 yrs 5 days. With thanks (Charlotte's mother)…
