I lost my wife to cancer Dec 5 1987. She was 26. I brought up our son alone. So proud of him. He died suddenly in the hospital after minor surgery Dec 4, 2018 at 34. The next 2 days are tough for me. Please honor their memory by telling someone you love them. Thanks. Love to all.

A school's "cultural norms" shouldn't be explained from on high to staff: culture should be the result of meaningful dialogue amongst all the parties in the school community. Ownership is essential.

Staff often trained very poorly. Huge inconsistency. Heads often fail to explain school’s desired cultural norms to current staff & new recruits. All of this can be turned around very quickly & easily. DM if u fancy a school visit.

I do very well. He was a devoted Christian. We didn’t get on and became good friends. When I visited him in hospital, he was upset that nobody had visited him apart from me and Eileen Derbyshire . He was an old fashioned good lad.

Who remembers Bryan Mosley

You'd think, wouldn't you. And I'm no fan of Gregg Wallace, far from it, can't stand the bloke - but why did they keep paying Huw Edwards, who was an actual paedophile? Jeez.

Does anyone else think this is a bit harsh? Surely Kirsty Wark is capable of telling him to bugger off? #Greggwallace

From what I've read, basically this bloke Gregg Wallace is being dragged over the coals for saying words that *some* find offensive. Unlike some of his BBC colleagues, he has not raped or assaulted anyone that we know of, or downloaded grade A child porn. Stop policing speech.

It's wild to me that the BBC paid Huw Edwards £200,000 after it knew he had been arrested for the most serious category of child abuse images, yet Gregg Wallace is forced out over allegations of a sexualised joke made in 2011.

There’s a line towards the end of Peter Mullan’s Neds that I’d call the best bit of writing to ever come out of Scotland. I remember hearing it, laughing at it, then feeling like greetin at how brilliant it is. If you’ve seen the film, you know. If you haven’t, see the film.

Why is Salmond’s funerary stuff being dragged out so long? Trying to play for time before the dam bursts on the plethora more unsavoury allegations about him? And the remote “family”’now waxing panegyric about him… all very odd.

I may not be the biggest enthusiast when it comes to Christmas, but when I hear creepy Christian crooner Cliff Richard’s ghastly & grim “Mistletoe & Wine” making peoples’ ears explode in November, can anyone blame me for negativity? All I want for Xmas is that toe rag turned off.

The closure of Billingsgate and Smithfield markets provides further illustration of the disgraceful destruction of what makes London unique. If @MayorofLondon @SadiqKhan wasn’t a slimy, slippery fish, he’d intervene and stop the closures. Shame on him. #billingsgate #smithfield

I can confirm that I did not win £177,000,000 on the EuroMillions last night. I’ll just have to hope someone buys me a gin to make up for such an almighty loss.

Since consequences are a sanction against behaviour we DON'T want, they cannot teach the behaviour we DO want. A consequence for being disrespectful will ONLY create the absence of disrespect: it CANNOT create the presence of respect.

You forgot: he doesn't want to attend school because you make home too comfortable.....but we do have to find a way to teach consequences though, in an age appropriate non cruel manner.

Just heard a young hipster guy on the phone as he walked past me utter the line “yes, I’m bringing my banjo”. So however badly your day is going, remember that somebody’s is about to get worse.

A woman has just stopped me and said: “So wonderful to meet you Michael McIntyre.” I was not amused. Never had such an odd ands frankly horrific lookalikey suggestion made of me before.
