I shared this Poppy idea a couple of years ago, and I know it was pretty popular, so here it is again. All you need is an egg box, PVA glue, & paints. 🙂 *You could get more than one poppy out of each egg box if you attached them to a cardboard base. 👍 darrellwakelam.com

A sad day.

Earlier this morning Janey passed away in her sleep. Her family were with her. The love and support from all her friends and fans during this cancer journey brought her enormous joy. It has also been a huge comfort to us, her family and close friends, thank you.

What a fabulous open day & gr8 place! Top of the list for baby 🐥 Sounds like an amazing dance degree & great to hear that health & wellbeing being a top priority as well as development of whole student! Very reassuring & inspiring. @LIPALiverpool

How wonderful is this! The work @DarrellWakelam achieves with the children is truly brilliant!

Just got an email from the lovely head at Kingsway Primary where I was a couple of weeks ago. Their artwork is up, and ready to be surrounded with some more positive images and children's work. Job done. 👍🤩 darrellwakelam.com

What a brilliant day @PedmoreCE kicking off with Forest church & discussing if we can trust nature; followed by an awesome day with Year 5 in the woods! So much creativity & the best leaf crown ever! @CofEWorcEduTeam @OutdoorEdChat

Yes!

Every day in primary school, children *could* have 30mins of 'free time' where they can work on what they like. Read a book, draw, paint, continue working on a model, research, run outside, play. It would probably be one of the most creative parts of their day. #Teachappy

This week, I reflect on my practice & how we integrate the circle of life & how death is talked about. This is a great example of how it happens. Death of Hedgehog led chn to deliver their own funeral for him. So much holistic learning. @PedmoreCE @CofEWorcester @CofEWorcEduTeam

I'm currently writing a chapter on Finding the Joy in teaching and would really appreciate it if you could share your most joyful moments with me on this thread. Work your magic, #edutwitter. Let's slam that negativity bias! #IamWriting

Lovely to welcome Year 5 from @PedmoreCE to forest church, leading their worship outside, focusing on a school value & through story connecting to nature & supporting the Christian ethos. @CofEWorcEduTeam @CofEWorcester

This picture speaks a 1000 words! Introducing meditation for the first time to preschool. The lovely girl showed deep connection & concentration in listening to the natural sounds around her. Finding calm & developing her spirituality. @PedmoreCE @CofEWorcester @CofEWorcEduTeam
