HCWs going from the frying pan to the fire on repeat for almost 3 yrs now. In the beginning when we asked for PPE, people clapped & inducted us as brave martyrs instead. When we told people about alcohol-related trauma, they told us it's our job to hold capacity for both (1/3)

Tbh I'm shit scared of starting internship in the middle of the second wave pandemic that's killing 20yr olds with no comorbidities. I'm scared of getting my partner sick, I'm scared of getting sick myself. I'm scared of 6 years of studying medicine not preparing me for this

Imagine having to learn 4 years worth of Surgery content in a matter of days only for it to be minimized to a mere 20 minute oral exam. It's tough out here.
Surgery has been fear-based learning over the last 4 years and now I don't enjoy studying it. Solidly traumatized by my surgery rotations 😔
